About

I’m a newly-wed in my late 20s living life to its fullest in The Concrete Jungle  Big Apple New York City.  Despite my small town roots, I love living in our country’s largest city.  Absolutely nothing compares or competes with New York City!

I was born in our nation’s wonderful cheese state, Wisconsin, and grew up in good ol’ “Live Free or Die” New Hampshire.  I ended up in Boston for law school where I met my now-husband, J, a fellow Midwestern-er from Michigan.

One year later, two became three when we added our Winston, our now 5 year old pug, to our lives.

After two years of dating and many graduation ceremonies later, we moved to the NYC-area to start our long law-filled careers.  On August 30, 2009, on a weekend getaway to our special place, J asked me to be his wife.

On September 25, 2010, after a hectic year of wedding planning, changing jobs and moving, we had an unforgettable “New York City” wedding and were married at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, surrounded by our family and closest friends.

Despite all the craziness in our lives, some things never change… I love all things Red Sox, Patriots and MSU Spartans (courtesy of J!). Wine, country music and Poptart Fridays (my waistline had to retire Poptart Fridays – sad) coconut iced coffee will forever make my heart happy.

  1. Poptart Fridays? I must know more about that?! I love them though I rarely let myself indulge.

NYC is on my list of places to visit for sure!! Hopefully someday soon.

    • Haha. Well, it’s such a quick breakfast that, to limit myself, I only had them on Fridays. So I started calling them Poptart Friday! I cut back to monthly for a bit and now rarely eat them. I might have to resurrect them tomorrow though!!

  2. Clicked on your link after your twitter comment…A fellow Wisconsonite? That’s awesome :) I was born and raised there. Midwesterners are pretty fabulous people!

    • Oh really?! I didn’t know that! I was born in Milwaukee and moved to NH when I was 7. My husband is from MI and hates when I don’t mention my Midwest roots! He’s convinced that’s what makes us work :)

(Stupid spam filter ate your comment which is why I’m replying so late!)

  3. I may or may not be insanely jealous that you were married in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral!
